The Ayandile Energy Innovation Showcase
Africa’s energy transition will not be built by institutions alone. It will be built by the innovators, engineers, and entrepreneurs currently studying in universities across the continent — many of whom have ideas that have never reached the development stage.
The Ayandile Energy Innovation Showcase is designed to change that. It is a structured platform for emerging energy innovators to present project concepts, receive expert assessment, and access pathways toward implementation. Selected concepts enter the Ayandile Project Marketplace. Selected participants receive mentorship, training pathways, and introductions to industry and investment networks.
How the Showcase Works

Every year, students and young innovators develop energy and climate solutions that never move beyond the classroom. Not because the ideas are not valuable — but because there is no clear pathway from concept to visibility, support, and implementation.
The Ayandile Innovation Showcase is designed to change that. This platform will curate and present selected student and early-stage project concepts to potential sponsors, investors, and industry partners — creating opportunities for projects to move forward, and for innovators to connect directly with organisations seeking real, implementable solutions.
Submissions will open through structured Calls for Projects, aligned with specific themes and areas of interest from sponsors and partners. The goal is simple:
To ensure that good ideas do not remain on shelves — but become visible, supported, and actionable.
